On-site combustion: boilers, collection vehicles, generator. Scope 1+2 baseline — 2025. Reduction target: −30% by 2027 (solar thermal, fleet).

Scope 2

Purchased energy — electricity & steam

Nouaceur-Casablanca site. On-site PV self-consumption — target: 60% of electricity produced on site by 2028.

Scope 3

Upstream & downstream chain

Raw material transport, packaging (drums, IBC), export maritime logistics — quantification in progress for the FolkNow report.

Argan forest as a carbon sink

800,000 hectares, centuries-old trees, deep roots: the argan forest sequesters CO₂ at a measurable scale. Folk Oils aims to certify and monetise this sequestration as credits (voluntary / European markets) and share part of the revenue with cooperatives that protect the forest.
